Calbayog City Gets a New Rescue Boat

CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar, May 14 (PIA) — Calbayog City acquired a new rescue boat from the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ renamed as GIZ) today, after the Monday flag ceremony.

GIZ representative Atty. Jaypee Martinez attended the simple rites as Calbayog City Mayor Ronald Aquino received the 15-seater fiberglass-made boat, which will be very helpful if there is a need to evacuate people in times of calamities in their locality.

Aquino was joined by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Estanislao Cortado Jr. and other city employees.
