PDEA Nabs Samar’s Most Wanted Drug Personality

CALBAYOG CITY, Samar, August 22 (PIA) — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully captured Samar’s most wanted drug personality in an entrapment operation conducted on August 18, 2012 in Calbayog City.

In a report to the PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr., PDEA Region 8 Director Julius Navales said the suspect is a 44 year old, married male and a resident of Barangay Matobato, Calbayog City.

Director Navales said that PDEA lured the suspect into selling shabu to an agent acting as buyer. PDEA Operatives from the Western Samar Provincial Office arrested the suspect at JD Avelino Stree, Barangay West Awang, Calbayog City after selling P1,000 worth of shabu to the PDEA agent.

The suspect is considered as the most notorious drug personality in the Samar area, the scope and coverage of his drug peddling activities well-deserving of the number one position in the PDEA VIII-WSPO Target List, Director Navales said.
