Plugging the Links
I decided to make a post just to let y’all know about all the Facebook pages, groups and other blogs that I think could be beneficial to some of y’all out there. Of course most of them are mine, so all I’m doing is making sure that as many as people as possible know about them.
Before I get started, I’d like to get this information in. I had it at the bottom of this post, but thought I should move it up here to increase the chances of people seeing it.
For all of y’all here locally in Calbayog, if you need some help that can be provided by the US Embassy you should contact our representative here first. Here is his information. Very cool and intelligent guy if you don’t already know him. He knows his stuff so be sure to contact him with any questions.

I’ve got 2 Facebook pages and 2 Facebook groups that are mine. I use to have another group, but I have deleted it due to non-activity. It was for the Our Daily Bread bakery. I probably should have made it a page instead, but I didn’t really understand the difference. I might start it up again later after this around here get going on a larger scale. I think maybe a combination page after Lita gets the store/restaurant open. That won’t happen until the city comes by and lets us know exactly how much of our property they will be taking to expand the highway.
The first one is my personal Facebook page. I’m kind of picky about who I accept as friends on it, but if I get to know you either personally or through one of my other Facebook pages and/or Groups, it’s very possible to be accepted. This blog (so this post) goes to this Facebook page shortly after I publish it.
This second is my newest one. I noticed that many people that have blogs, also have a Facebook page for them. Supposedly they make money from those pages too. I’ll figure all that out later. I hope to make this one a place to assist expats on acquiring information for moving to or visiting the Philippines, especially on Samar and more specifically to Calbayog City. And of course another major purpose is to try to drive more traffic to my blog. For now I need a lot of “Likes” on that page. So check it out and if you like it, Like it.
This next Facebook is a group rather than a page and is actually only for people that either live in, are planning to move to or visit a lot Calbayog City. It’s a way for everyone to communicate with each other. Hey we have to know who is having a party, if someone needs some help with something or maybe they have some services or things to sell. It’s been getting some mild use. I hope it becomes a lot more active in the near future.
I started this following Facebook group to help promote a group I’m in and also another one of my blogs. None of these probably would be interesting to anyone unless they know what Space A travel is and need/want more information to try to make traveling easier. This one is also pretty new and when I set it up I wasn’t thinking of making any money with it. It was just to promote. Of course if things happen and I get a chance to make a little from it, I will.
This group is the aforementioned group that I’m in that has major information about Space A. There are people from all over the world in this group. The Admins (including myself) are very knowledgeable about Space A procedures. What someone may not have experience with someone else will and there are the people that have just experienced it all. If you have a question about Space A travel, I’m sure it can be answered here.
I have a total of 7 blog (including this one). This one (Texan in the Philippines (TitP)) is the largest, but I’m hoping 1 or 2 of my remaining ones will get popular too. All except TitP are still on the free WordPress platform, but TitP started out there also. This first one is started to look like it needs to get into the main stream and away from the free.
This is my blog that is in association with the Space A group. I decided to start this blog because I noticed when I was looking up information about Space A on the internet, I had to look at a lot of links to find all the information I wanted. The information is out there, it’s just scattered. This is an attempt to get it all in one spot. Even though it is my newest blog, it gets the second most activity (next to this blog). It is not completed yet and I update whenever I get around to it. It is sometimes difficult because my internet connection is sometimes super slow and I have to pull information from all over. It just takes a long time and a lot of patience. Time I have, but I don’t have the patience. There is a lot of information there now, but it is no complete. If you check it out and need more information on something, of course I’d find it for you and include it.
This next blog got started when I decided to trim down this TitP blog. I had a lot of information on here that was not associated with the Philippines. It was a rookie attempt to get more traffic to the site. After I figured out that I was probably hurting myself more by having all that non-pertinent information, I didn’t want to delete it. So I decided to make a free platform blog and moved all that information to it. Since then whenever I come across a good joke or story, I copy/paste it to this blog. I try to update it often and I do have some drafts just waiting to be finalized and published. I probably add a new post once or twice per week. It’s a hodgepodge of things, so there’s no telling what you’ll come across. I even have some Space A information on there right now because it was one of the things transferred from TitP. I’ll probably end up taking that off in the future though.
My next time consuming blog is just videos that I find on You Tube that I like. None of them are videos I make myself. All those I put on this TitP blog. I have a pretty wide variety of music that I put on here. About the only thing you will not see is the rap crap. I try to put on videos that have lyrics, but that is not always possible or sometimes there is a video that is just so beautifully made without lyrics and I feel more propelled to use it instead. I also try to find songs that I have not heard in a long time to post. When I remember a song or I happen to come across an “oldie but goodie”, I at least make a draft on the blog. That way I won’t forget about it or lose it. It will be there for me to finalize when I get the time to do it. Check it out. I’ll be there are some songs there that you also have not heard in a long time. Maybe you’ll discover a new song that you never heard before, but just love.
I always have questions. Questions like “What is the origin of some of the popular nursery rhymes”? Most of those origins will surprise you, if you don’t already know. I mean ‘really’ surprise you. Or things like “When and Where was the most violent volcanic eruption”? I suppose it’s because I don’t know that much, but I figured that maybe others might have had the same questions at one time or another in their life. So I decided that when I have one of these questions, I will put that question in this blog and then look up the answer on the internet. This is my Who, What, When, Where, Why (5W’s) and How blog. There is nothing on this blog that can’t be found on the internet, but I look at several different sources to get information. I also provide the links to the write ups I have. Plus I provide links to other places that have information on the subject.
This is a blog I started to also get some of the run off from my TitP blog. These are just stories that I write myself. What I mean by that is I just make them up out of the blue or they are things that happen in my life that I have decided needed to be told. I have a few stories on there (11 of them), but I really want to write a good story totally from nothing. I do have one attempt that I put on there already. It’s called “Gummy Girls” I think it’s good for a first attempt, except the beginning is not so great. The ending is also a bit lame, but, to me, the middle section is good.
I’m not a very poetic person, but sometimes I like to make an attempt to write some poetry. Of course it’s not that good, but it helps me express what I’m feeling at the time. After all isn’t that what poetry is suppose to do? I have 18 poems on there now. I think 2, maybe 3 of them, belong to my father though. He’s a little better at it then I am. My latest poem is the longest one that I have ever written. I took out a couple of stanzas because it just seemed too long, but, at least I think, the final results turned out well. Of course I’d like the opinions of others, so if you read them, let me know please.
The following blogs are ones that I am a member of and I am only including them here because I figure most of my readers are associated with the military and maybe could be interested in one or some of these. This post is already much longer than I figured it would be, but it’s okay. I hope I was able to help someone out. Someone else plus myself. I wish that y’all would check out my blogs and I hope they will enrich you life somehow. Probably not, but you never know.
